Acura ZDX

The Acura ZDX is a crossover based on the Honda Accord platform, but looks nothing like the Honda Accord Crosstour. Its panormic roof spans the whole length of the passenger cabin of the vehicle. The swept rear end and the hidden rear door handles give the ZDX a sporty look.

The fast back design of the Acura ZDX allows for more cubic storage space and more head room, making the entire interior feel very roomy. The lavish and comfortable interior features the generous use of leather. The center navigation console and brushed aluminum trim give the ZDX the look and feel of a modern car. In fact, it perfectly complements the exterior.

A smooth 3.7 liter V6 engine, which produces 300 horse power lurks under the hood of the Acura ZDX. It features a six speed automatic transmission, with paddle shifters for when they're needed. The ZDX is also the recipient of Acura's SH-AWD or super handling all wheel drive system. This computer controlled system can send torque to whichever wheels need it at that moment. The ZDX is packed with safety features including stability and traction control which aid in rollover protection. The fuel economy is decent for such a sporty car, at 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. Base price for a new Acura ZDX is $45k.

The TSX

The TSX comes wired with an iPod connection and Bluetooth capability, making it a popular option for communication and music lovers.

As the entry level into the Acura lineup the TSX sedan was redesigned for 2009 with some welcome changes that left the new model with a more grown up, sleek look. In keeping with the Acura tradition, the new TSX is designed based on the more-compact Honda Accord sold outside the United States. The Acura TSX successfully straddles two categories, bringing together the mainstream family sedan and the entry-level luxury sports sedan with a base price of $28,960.

Despite the evolution from earlier youthful models to a more mature character, the TSX remains likable and responsive and favors a refinement and fuel economy (an average 27 mpg) that previous generations lacked.

The safety elements

Comfort has not been given a back seat in the Acura and all of them have very comfortable driver and passenger seats. Ergonomically finished Dashboards facilitate easy monitoring of the vehicle's performance. Both simple and advanced GPS linked Climate Control Systems are offered depending upon the model chosen. The interiors are aesthetic a and easy on the eye.

The safety elements of the Acura cars are simply exceptional. They comprise of the standard mandatory air bags. In addition, most of them are fitted with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System(TPMS), the Super Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD®) and the Anti-Braking System(ABS) as standard equipment. The MDX

The MDX is a Canadian built one, built at Alliston, Ontario.
The standard Acura MDX the RL and the TL editions and their variants feature the technologically advanced, lightweight all-aluminum alloy constructed 2.4 lt., 24 valve, SOHC VTEC® V-6 engine which electronically controls the valve timing. The Horsepower of these cars are 300, 290 and 258 respectively. The RDX and the TSX are powered by 16 valve DOHC i-VTEC® engine of 2.3 lt. & 2.4 lt. capacity and capable of delivering 240 hp and 205 hp respectively.

Acura, a clutch of five different models of Japanese cars, the Acura RL, the MDX, the TL, the RDX and the TSX mentioned in order of pricing. The RL, the TL and the TSX are sedans whereas the other two are SUVs. Each of these models has its own variants depending on their features. The cars have a marked resemblance to the Honda, on which it is based. Though Japanese, practically all of them have an American flavor, the TL and the RDX are built in Marysville, Ohio and the engine for the MDX at Anna, Ohio.

the late 1980s

Back in the late 1980s, the Acura was rated among various noteworthy models - the Vigor and Integra and as a result, it received a quick recognition from the entire automotive press as being one of the prominent industry leaders.
